Starting with a Grayscale image, white background, black foreground,
add some heavy type (in this example, LITHOGRAPH typeface at 30 points.)
Cut [(Cmd-X Mac)(Ctrl-X PC)] the type, then Paste [(Cmd-V Mac)(Ctrl-V PC)] it back.
Holding the shift key, tap on the down arrow key
three times to position the text. Now deselect the text.
Next, apply Filter>Pixellate>Crystalize
using a value of 6.
1. Invert image [(Cmd-I Mac)(Ctrl-I PC)] and rotate
counter-clockwise 90°.
2. Apply Filter>Stylize>Wind
using Wind and to the Left.
3. Then Filter>Distort>Ripple
with a value of around 40 using large ripples.
Rotate 90° Clockwise and reapply the Ripple [(Cmd-F Mac)(Ctrl-F PC)].
For the final colors, change the mode to Indexed
Color.
And set the Color Table to Black Body.
